Dr. Skye Raffard, Obstetrics & Gynaecology BSc MD FRCSC
With her roots in Midwifery, Dr. Raffard returned to university as a wife, mother, and mature student, determined to fulfill her lifelong goal of becoming a surgeon. With a Bachelor of Science from University of Victoria, in Neuropsychology and Microbiology, she next attended Medical School at the University of British Columbia. Her internship followed at the very busy Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster, BC and then Residency in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at UBC. When her training was complete, Dr. Raffard took up a position at Cariboo Memorial Hospital, in beautiful Williams Lake, BC. As a rural specialist, Dr. Raffard is a generalist OB/GYN, providing care in Perinatology and high-risk Obstetrics, Urogynaecology, Gyneoncolgy and Infertility. She is a clinical instructor in the Faculty of Medicine at UBC and a Colposcopist for the BC Cancer Agency.
Dr. Raffard is also in demand as a Faculty instructor for SeaCourses, CME Away, and off shore continuing medical education for family doctors.
