COVID-19 Safety Plan
We are an integrated community-based Health Care facility and are required by order of the Provincial Health Authority, BC Centre for Disease Control and WorkSafeBC to implement a Covid-19 Safety Plan. The safety of our practitioners, staff, patients, and clients is of the utmost importance to us and we are committed to providing a safe environment for everyone.
Everyone is REQUIRED TO WEAR A MEDICAL MASK while in the building. Some exceptions, including young children, may apply. Please let us know prior to your appointment if you cannot wear a mask due to an approved medical condition or you will be not allowed in the building. Medical Masks are provided.
Please DO NOT COME into our building if you have symptoms of Covid-19. We reserve the right to reschedule your appointment for another time if you arrive not feeling well or appear to be sick.
All practitioners and staff must personally assess themselves daily for symptoms of common cold, influenza, or COVID-19 prior to entering the clinic.
Hand sanitizer is available for patients as they come into the building and into each treatment room. Hand washing hygiene is recommended to be the most effective.
We provide a physical barrier at the front desk for the safety of our staff and patients.
Please maintain at least a 2 m (6 ft) distance between patients and staff members in the common areas where a Plexiglas barrier is not available.
We limit the number of people in our waiting room and may direct patients to wait outside if the limit is reached. No more than 4 will be allowed in the waiting room unless they are from the same family unit.
One person is allowed in the building for the appointment unless there is a caregiver or an adult accompanying a minor. Exceptions are only made at the discretion of the medical doctor.
We provide contactless payment options.
Our staff does regular cleaning throughout the day of high touch areas in our waiting room and treatment rooms. We maintain a clean public bathroom available to our patients only. Thorough overall clinic cleaning is done each evening by a hired janitor.
We maintain a commercial ventilation system in our building.
In the event of a Covid-19 exposure our clinic will follow all guidelines recommended by Public Health.
Each practitioner will also be following specific guidelines in their treatment rooms as required by their Professional College.
Detailed staff policies and cleaning policies are available if requested by Public Health or WorkSafeBC.
Due to the risk of COVID-19, we ask that all our patients who are sick, or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms to please call and reschedule your appointment. During this time, we will be more lenient with cancellations and rescheduling.
